MG Teams Up With the RYA, and There's a Perk for Members

MG has just been announced as the official automotive partner of the Royal Yachting Association and the British Sailing Team — and if you're an RYA member, there's something in it for you directly.

The MG logo will now appear on British Sailing Team sails, on athlete and support team apparel, and across the RYA's website. It's a high-profile partnership, and one that makes a fair bit of sense when you look at what both organisations are doing: MG has been pushing hard into electric and hybrid vehicles, and RYA CEO Sara Sutcliffe has said the shared commitment to sustainable innovation is a big part of why the partnership works.

The headline for anyone already involved in sailing locally — whether that's at Solway Yacht Club in Kippford, Annandale Sailing Club on Castle Loch, or through the RYA courses at Galloway Activity Centre on Loch Ken — is this: RYA members now have access to the MG Affinity Scheme, which offers savings on a new MG. Full details are available in the Member Benefits section of the RYA website, but the scheme lets eligible members configure a car, choose a dealer, and submit an enquiry with no commitment to buy.

The Affinity Scheme covers the current MG range, which at James Haugh means you can apply it to models like the MG4 EV, the MG HS PHEV, and the MG3 — all of which we have available to view and test drive here in Dumfries.

One thing worth knowing: Affinity savings can't be combined with other MG offers, so it's worth talking to one of our team to work out whether the Affinity route or a current promotional offer gives you the better deal on the car you're after.
